Product Description
Here we have some miscellaneous sets I have put together, using custom headstalls, buckles, or colors that I think complement each other. These are sets that have allowed me to use my creativity, to play around with different braiding styles and colors, as well as use up odd lengths of rope or the last headstall I may have in stock. Most items are in perfect condition- if there are any flaws, they will be noted. These items are WELL below cost- this is an opportunity to get a one of a kind piece at a phenomenal price! When you click on the dropdown, you will see a picture of the actual set- but I can only set one photo per, so be sure to scroll the gallery under the large photo- each photo will be marked with it’s corresponding order #.
Set #1: Rope halter tied with rings in the nose, size is Average, 4 knot, in black with a turquoise braided nose. Comes complete with a set of 9′, black/ turquoise zigzag snap reins.
Set #2. Average brown natural hackamore. Soft, 2 knots, with 12′ loop reins.
Set #3. 4 strand round braid loping hackamore. This is a pony/ arabian set. Headstall is small horse size (16″ browband) Reins are mecate style, 20′ long, black and tan blend. Super punchy, cowboy set up. This noseband is on the smaller side- See fit on “Rusty’, his muzzle is 24# , bit this would best fit a horse/ pony with an 18” or so muzzle.
Set #7. 4 strand loping hack in burgundy/ hunter/ tan and brown/. Headstall is American made out of heavy, oiled Herman Oak leather. Buckles and conchos are marked Mortenson- you can google them, this is the Santa Fe collection and the buckles/ conchos alone are worth $132. Reins are hand braided from 550 brown paracord. They measure just under and inch wide- they’re braided in the center, to tie neatly around the noseband, and flat in your hands for a more comfortable feel. They are 7′ split reins.
Set #9: Natural hackamore in purple, Small size, with a purple braided noseband and black/ pink/ purple 12′ loop rein. This halter has been hanging on the wall for a while and is a bit dusty.
Set #10: This is a loping hack style I carried for a while but do not any longer. The noseband is a prickly, grass ‘feel’ rope tied kindof like a bosal. Noseband is laced in burgundy, and the headstall is made from our stiff halter cord, in navy. 22′ mecate reins are made from our burgundy/ navy double braid rope. Really pretty set, reins I just made but the bosal is old and dusty.
