CAL cheek with a 2.5″ purchase, 5″ shank and 8″ cheek. The Cavalry long shanked bit was most commonly used in the Cavalry mounted arms forces. It is an S cheek that sweeps back behind the mouth allowing for balance, and discouraging a horse from lipping or biting the shank. Light severity mouthpiece- Three piece with a 3/8″ copper bar, 1-1/2″ copper wrapped dog bone center. This is a nice mouth piece to reach the outside pressure point of the bars, and being a 3pc mouth it allows for tongue relief.
