About your halter: Here at Half Circle Ranch we pride ourselves on our halters. The fit, the construction of the rope, our fabulous colors. We are very proud of the halters we offer! Our halters are made from 1/4″ polyester rope. Our soft halters are made from a double braid rope- think of your favorite ‘Savvy’ clinician, these are the halters he chooses. They’re light weight, but have lots of body and ‘feel’. Soft rope halters will have a stitched fiador knot, and the ends will be spliced together. Our stiff halters are made from a firm, 1/4″ polyester accessory cord. It is a much firmer bodied rope than the soft cord- it will hold it’s shape all on it’s own, and this halter will stand up on a table by itself, where the soft will not. Great for getting a horses attention, great for training- and just all around easy to use. These will not be as stiff as your favorite Aussie clinicians halters- but they’re in that vicinity.

Halters can be tied traditionally, with 2 knots on the noseband- or can be tied with ‘extra’ nose knots, which is 4 total. See both options pictured. Extra nose knots will not be placed on halters smaller than yearling size- there simply isn’t room. See our other halters if you like your halters a bit dressier, as we offer braided options as well. About the lead: This rope was designed especially for Half Circle Ranch. It is a 9/16″ double braid polyester rope with a 24 carrier cover- this rope was built according to the cordage institutes standards for rope, and it’s size is the same as the rope used by CA and PP. This rope has great body and feel- it’s a lovely rope, and comes in a plethora of fabulous colors. This lead comes finished with an eye splice- you can hook it directly to your halter, or you have the option to purchase hardware and I will send your lead assembled. If you would like to add hardware, simply choose the ‘add hardware’ option, and another drop down will appear with your hardware choices.If you want your hardware permanently attached, see our other lead option. The tail end of your lead will be backspliced, which weights it, giving it that desirable feel and balance. It will then be finished with a leather popper- and you can choose the color! Each lead rope is hand made, to order- we can make any length, so if you don’t see the length desired just let me know.
